Youtube Pre-Roll
For the EcoDrive initiative we developed a 20-second YouTube pre-roll. It pushes back on a common assumption: that driver assistance systems and the eco mode have already taken energy-efficient driving off our hands. They have not. The person behind the wheel remains the single biggest factor, ahead of any technology.
The challenge was the length. A pre-roll gets skipped the moment it can be, so the core message and the practical saving tips had to land in the first seconds and still stick. We distilled the idea down to its essence and gave it a visual language that needs no long intro and works on impact.
The result is a clip in three language versions for German-speaking Switzerland, the French-speaking region and Ticino. Short enough for social media, clear enough to get something across despite the pace.
Für die EcoDrive-Initiative haben wir einen 20-sekündigen YouTube-Pre-Roll entwickelt. Er hält einer verbreiteten Annahme etwas entgegen: dass moderne Assistenzsysteme und der Eco-Modus das energieeffiziente Fahren längst übernommen hätten. Das stimmt so nicht. Der Mensch am Steuer bleibt der grösste Faktor, vor jeder Technik.
Die Aufgabe lag in der Kürze. Ein Pre-Roll wird übersprungen, sobald er darf, also mussten Kernbotschaft und konkrete Spartipps in die ersten Sekunden und trotzdem hängen bleiben. Wir verdichteten die Aussage auf das Wesentliche und gaben ihr eine eigene Bildsprache, die ohne langes Intro auskommt und sofort wirkt.
Entstanden ist ein Clip in drei Sprachfassungen für die Deutschschweiz, die Romandie und das Tessin. Kurz genug für Social Media, klar genug, um trotz Tempo etwas zu vermitteln.
